Spring 2023 Championship Saturday Matchups Finalized

Americas United Real Madrid outlasts Branchburg TSC Thunder Red for Final Spot in Saturday's Action

Mid New Jersey Youth Soccer is pleased to announce our Spring Playoffs which will culminate on Championship Saturday, June 17th.

Only flight winners from the top four flights in each 9v9 and 11v11 division are eligible.

Several divisions (U11B, U11G, U12B, U13B & U14B) will play a standard playoff format: Flt1 vs. Flt4 winner will play Flt2 vs. Flt3 winner in the championship round on June 17th.

Divisions with only three flights (U12G) will play a Flt2 vs. Flt3 semifinal with the winner playing Flt1 winner in the championship round on June 17th.

Divisions with only two flights (U15B, U16B & U13G) will play a single championship round on June 17th.

The U18B & U19B flight winners will face off in our final match on Championship Saturday, June 17th. Unfortunately, all other playoff-eligible divisions (U14G, U16G & U18G) with only one flight will not be participating in this year's playoffs.

Playoff matchups will be finalized no later than Tuesday evening, June 13th. Semifinal matches will be hosted by the higher flighted team and must be played by no later than Thursday, June 15th. Exceptions to this deadline will be considered in extreme situations outside of either team's control. If neither makeup weekend matches nor forfeit determinations are required to determine flight winners for either Flt1 vs. Flt 4 or Flt2 vs. Flt 3 pairings, semifinal matches can be played anytime after Sunday, June 4th upon confirmation/notification from MNJ league personnel.

11v11 Division Championships will be played at Heavenly Farms Park Turf Fields in East Brunswick on Saturday, June 17th. Times are subject to change based on final determination of participants.
  • 08:30am: U13 Boys (Field A) Perth Amboy YSA vs. Clark SC Chargers
  • 08:30am: U13 Girls (Field B) New Providence SC Fusion vs. Watchung Hills SA Freedom
  • 10:30am: U14 Boys (Field A) Union SC Wolves Green vs. Perth Amboy SC Panthers
  • 12:00pm: U15 Boys (Field A) Americas United Juventus vs. Linden YSA Young Boyz
  • 01:30pm: U16 Boys (Field A) Americas United PSG vs. Cranford SC Union
  • 03:00pm: U18/U19 Boys (Field A) Union SC Dragons vs. Elizabeth YSA Dragons
9v9 Division Championships will be played at Middlebush Park in Franklin Township, also on Saturday June 17th. Times are subject to change based on final determination of participants.
  • 08:30am: U12 Boys (Field 2A) JAE Academy Plainfield vs. Clark SC Thunder
  • 08:30am: U11 Girls (Field 2B) Berkeley Heights YSC Blue Stars vs. Tewksbury SC Pumas
  • 10:00am: U11 Boys (Field 2A) Franklin Township SC Warriors vs. Americas United Real Madrid
  • 10:00am: U12 Girls (Field 2B) Linden YSA Might Cubs vs. Princeton FC Lyon
 
Club Passes and Secondary Permissions will be honored for playoff participation.
 
Be advised that teams unable to participate in Spring Playoffs due to other commitments will be required to inform MNJ so that should a flight winner decline to represent its flight in the playoffs, the spot can be offered to the flight runner up. Fines will be levied if flight winner or runner up fails to inform MNJ by the deadline that they are unable to participate in Spring Playoffs. Details to follow…
