HOME TEAMS MUST COMMUNICATE REQUIREMENTS IN ADVANCE

As Week 1 of the Fall 2020 season fast approaches, MNJYSA reminds all clubs that home field COVID requirements MUST be provided to all home and visiting players, coaches, referees and spectators in advance, and all participants MUST comply with these requirements or risk forfeit.

A slew of COVID guidelines have been published by U.S. Soccer, N.J. Youth Soccer and MNJYSA to ensure compliance with federal, state and local health recommendations and mandates, but each club knows how best to apply these restrictions to its unique circumstances and locations.

These restrictions should cover arrival at fields, pre-game activities, post-game activities and departure from fields. No additional home field-specific restrictions should be placed on on-field activities during the game, e.g. home team cannot mandate that  masks be worn by players and referees while on the field. Please refer to MNJYSA COVID-19 Guidance for more information.
