This handbook is provided to help everyone better enjoy the competitions by setting forth procedures, operations, attitudes, and courtesies to be observed. It is our goal to promote good sportsmanship among our players, coaches, and spectators. This handbook is not a definition of rights to be applied advantageously. It is a guide for sports persons who are willing to cooperate with others within the structure of league administration. MNJYSA shall be the sole interpreter of the provisions of this Handbook.
This handbook applies to play in all age groups within Mid-New Jersey Youth Soccer Association. We have modified some procedures for U12 players and younger because of the young age of these players. Changes will be indicated throughout this handbook. A summary of changes for U12 and younger teams are included at the end of this handbook.
The Handbook is currently undergoing modifications. Please refer to the Game Facts table on the Home Page for current information regarding game durations and referee fees.
In memory of the many contributions to youth soccer programs and particularly for Liesel Krehan's many years of dedicated service to the Mid-New Jersey Youth Soccer Association, the MNJYSA Board of Directors created two scholarships in honor of Liesel. The Liesel Krehan Memorial Scholarship Application can be downloaded. Applications must be post marked by the date shown in the application.
NJ Youth Soccer players may only have one Travel Membership, which is a commitment to one NJYS Travel Club. NJYS also allows players to play on a second team as a Secondary Player. MNJYSA enables Secondary Players to participate in our league in U11 and older age groups through the use of the Secondary Permission Player Form.
Players may play with their primary club using their NJYS Player Pass and with a secondary team registered in MNJYSA using a Secondary Permission Player Form. The form below will explain the process. Reminder that a team cannot use a Secondary Player if participating in a NJYS Cup, Commissioners Cup, Presidents Cup or National Championship Series event.
