League Documents

Handbook

This handbook is provided to help everyone better enjoy the competitions by setting forth procedures, operations, attitudes, and courtesies to be observed. It is our goal to promote good sportsmanship among our players, coaches, and spectators. This handbook is not a definition of rights to be applied advantageously. It is a guide for sports persons who are willing to cooperate with others within the structure of league administration. MNJYSA shall be the sole interpreter of the provisions of this Handbook.

This handbook applies to play in all age groups within Mid-New Jersey Youth Soccer Association. We have modified some procedures for U12 players and younger because of the young age of these players. Changes will be indicated throughout this handbook. A summary of changes for U12 and younger teams are included at the end of this handbook.

Scholarship

In memory of her many contributions to youth soccer programs and particularly for her many years of dedicated service to the Mid-New Jersey Youth Soccer Association, the MNJYSA Board of Directors created two scholarships in honor of Liesel Krehan. The Liesel Krehan Memorial Scholarship Application is available for download below. Applications must be post marked by May 15th.

Secondary Permissions

NJ Youth Soccer players may only have one Travel Membership, which is a commitment to one NJYS Travel Club. NJYS also allows players to play on a second team (from a different club) as a Secondary Player. MNJYSA enables Secondary Players to participate in our league in U09 and older age groups through the use of the Secondary Permission Player Form. U08 and younger players cannot use Secondary Permissions to play.

The form below explains the process of getting a Secondary Player Permission Form approved. Reminder: a team cannot use a Secondary Player if participating in a NJYS Cup, Presidents Cup or National Championship Series events.

Completed Secondary Player Permission Forms must be submitted for MNJYSA approval by April 30th. Forms submitted after this date will not be considered.
